Maitland Business Chamber holds monthly Members' networking functions, as well as special events.
The monthly Members' Networking Function is on the third Thursday of each month, usually over breakfast. This changes occasionally, and members are informed well in advance.
The networking functions feature a guest speaker, and are also used for informing members of General Business. The guest speakers are people who have an important role to play in business in our region. Recent speakers have included Federal Assistant Shadow Treasurer and Shadow Minister for Finance Joel Fitzgibbon, MP; State Minister for the Hunter Michael Costa, MP; Developer and 2005 Hunter Business Person of the Year Hilton Grugeon.

The Mai-Wel Group has provided services to people with a disability for the past 50 years. This presentation will highlight the innovative approaches and new business activities which have created a variety of employment opportunities for people with a disability in the Hunter. Mai-Wel operates six individual businesses which currently employ 110 people with a disability including PACE Setters, TimeSavers, The Enterprise Centre, Hunter LabourForce Solutions and two of the organisation's newest ventures, Mai-Wel E-Cycling Services and Mai-Wel Training Services.
